Teaching 12 Women Their First Sumo Deadlift đź’Ş

Strong Her in 42 Class

Last night, I had one of those coaching moments that reminds me exactly why I do this.

I was teaching a group of women in my StrongHER in 42 program how to do their very first sumo deadlifts.

Most of them had never touched a barbell before.
Some were nervous.
But in the end they all loved it and did great đź’Ş

We went over the fundamentals—foot position, hip placement, grip, how to stay tight, and how to pull safely with confidence. I broke it all down on the whiteboard, coached them step by step.

I love teaching women how to sumo deadlift—not just because it's a great lift, but because it builds confidence, body awareness, and real strength from the ground up.

Watching someone go from “I don’t know if I can do this” to “I just did that” is awesome to see.

They all left learning how to do a Sumo deadlift and felt so much strong(er) after my class and coaching!

If you're brand new to lifting—or you've never had proper coaching on the sumo deadlift—you’ll love what I’ll be sharing next.

Check out this YouTube video below where I teach Sumo Deadlifts to my Strong Her in 42 class.

I hope you enjoy this video and stay tuned more lots more quality training content coming your way.

Have a strong weekend!
