💤 My 3-Part Magnesium Routine for Better Sleep & Recovery
Coach Rob here and happy Saturday to you.
Every Saturday it’s “Supplement Saturday” and in this e-mail I cover a supplement that is highly overlooked and a game changer.
If there’s one mineral I think almost everyone could benefit from — it’s magnesium.
It plays a role in over 300 different functions in your body — from muscle recovery, energy production, and stress resilience, to deeper sleep and calmer moods.
And if you lift weights, train hard, or sweat often, you’re depleting magnesium even faster.
Every time you train, your muscles contract and use up magnesium for energy (ATP production), and you also lose it through sweat. Over time, that can leave you more prone to fatigue, cramps, and restless sleep — even if your training and nutrition are on point.
That’s why I focus on getting magnesium from multiple forms — to help support recovery, calm the nervous system, and improve sleep quality.
Here’s the 3-part magnesium combo I personally use and recommend 👇
💧 1. Topical Magnesium Spray
I use this one daily — a few sprays on my shoulders, legs, or feet before bed.
Topical magnesium absorbs quickly through the skin, helping relax tight muscles, ease soreness, and calm the nervous system.
Perfect after heavy lifting or long coaching days.
🧠 2. L-Theanine
This one’s all about mental calm and focus.
Theanine (an amino acid from green tea) works synergistically with magnesium to promote a calm but alert state — great for lowering stress and improving sleep quality without making you groggy.
I take this one with my AM coffee and in the evening to help unwind before bed.
😴 3. Magnesium Glycinate
My go-to for deep sleep and muscle recovery.
Glycinate is one of the most bioavailable forms of magnesium, meaning your body absorbs it really well.
It’s gentle on the stomach, supports relaxation, and helps your muscles and nervous system fully recharge overnight.
When you combine these three — topical, theanine blend, and glycinate — you’re supporting recovery, mood, and sleep from all angles.
If you lift heavy, train hard, or just deal with a lot of daily stress, magnesium is a game-changer.
I snapped a photo of the three I use right here at home — these are the exact products I trust. 👇

Trust me and give 1-3 of these a try you won’t believe how much your energy, sleep and cravings will improve.
I hope this e-mail and info helps you.
Have a strong weekend.
