I Can't Believe She Asked Me This

And I said YES....

So, something funny (and kind of unexpected) happened this week…

One of my past clients — who I used to coach for powerlifting — commented on a post I made in the Women Who Lift Weights Facebook group about my Dumbbells for Fat Loss program.

Since I knew her, I reached out personally and said:
“Hey — were you thinking about trying the program?”

She said, “Kind of…”
Then followed it up with:
“Actually, will you coach me?” 😅

I didn’t see that coming.

Here’s the thing — I used to do a lot of body transformation and fat loss coaching years ago, before I became more focused on powerlifting and strength coaching with Team Canada, my gym, and online clients.

But when she asked…
I thought about it and said YES.

There’s a catch though — she has to give me 90 days.

Here’s the plan I laid out for her:
👉 From now through Christmas, we focus on progress — build momentum, drop fat, get stronger, and feel amazing.

👉 Once the holidays hit (late December through early January), we switch gears into damage control. Enjoy Christmas, enjoy the food, and enjoy time with family — while keeping some structure and training going.

👉 Then, January 2nd, we go all-in again for Phase 2 — ramp it up, tighten things up, and crush the back half of the 90 days.

Honestly, I didn’t think she’d be serious…

Most people this time of year say they want to make changes — but the truth is, most wait until January.

That’s exactly why I said yes to her.

Because the people who start now always have the best results than those who keep putting it off.
