Behind the Scenes: Heavy Squats & Powerlifting Prep!

Last night was an electric night at my gym!
Most of our members are gearing up for our in-house Powerlifting competition in early December, and the energy is contagious.
Our gym is home to an incredible group of women—ranging from brand-new lifters to accomplished World Champions, Commonwealth Champions, National Champions, and more.
Last night’s focus? Heavy Squat Singles.
And it doesn’t stop there—we’re diving into heavy Bench and Deadlift sessions next as we fine-tune for meet day! 💪
Here’s a quick peek at how our training blocks are structured:
September: Technical Block – Refining the fundamentals.
October: Volume Block – Building that base!
November: Intensification Block – Turning up the intensity.
December: Meet Day – Time to shine on the platform!
Getting stronger and lifting heavier isn’t just about pushing harder or doing more reps. It’s a mix of:

✔️ Lifting skill
✔️ Smart programming
✔️ And a whole lot of grit and focus
