An Incredible Weekend of Lifts, Laughs, and Victories
I’m finally getting some downtime after a crazy awesome weekend, and I couldn’t wait to share it with you!
Last weekend was packed with excitement:
Friday Night: We hosted an in-house powerlifting competition at Heavy Weights.
Saturday Night: We celebrated with our annual Christmas party.
It was a weekend of lifting heavy, celebrating victories, and making unforgettable memories. 💪🎉
A Tradition of Strength and Support
At our in-house meet, we had a fantastic mix of new lifters stepping onto the platform for the first time and seasoned athletes who have competed at Nationals, Commonwealths, and Worlds. It’s amazing to see everyone come together, support each other, and push their limits.
One of my favorite moments? My team lifting me up for a group photo! This tradition started years ago, and every meet, they keep it going.

Highlight of the Meet: Ruby K.
I have to give a huge shout-out to one of my incredible clients, Ruby K.
At 76 years young, Ruby crushed a 100 kg / 220 lb squat PR—and it was beautiful display of technique and strength.
Ruby started training with me at 69, she hobbled in my gym on crutches after a broken ankle, having never lifted a weight before.
Her progress is nothing short of inspiring.
Ruby’s Keys to Success:
She works hard.
She shows up consistently.
She stays coachable.
She always gives her best.
Her dedication proves that it’s never too late to start your strength journey.
Check out her amazing squat below! 🔥
I’ll be uploading all the videos from the meet this weekend, so stay tuned!
Until then, keep lifting heavy and living strong!
Stay strong.
